Subject arrested for five counts of assault with a deadly weapon, by use of a vehicle. On 04/26/21, at approximately 10:40 pm, two victims were traveling together in their car when they realized they were being followed by a subject, later identified as (S) Cameron Pucik, who was driving very aggressively. When they pulled over near their residence, Pucik pulled over, got out of his vehicle, and started to approach them in an aggressive manner. The victims were fearful of Pucik’s actions and attempted to flee the area in their vehicle. Pucik chased after the victims for a significant distance. During this time, Pucik rammed the victims’ vehicle approximately five times. One of the victims called 911. Pucik drove away from the area prior to the deputies’ arrival. During the course of the follow up investigation, the East County Major Crimes Unit determined that Cameron Pucik was the perpetrator of these crimes and actively started searching for him. On 08/25/21, Pucik was arrested by the Ventura Police Department on unrelated charges. When detectives discovered this, he was additionally booked on five counts of 245(a)(1) PC – Assault with a Deadly Weapon. |
