Hudson County in northeastern New Jersey... Passaic County in northeastern New Jersey... Union County in northeastern New Jersey... Richmond (Staten Island) County in southeastern New York...
*Until 745 PM EDT.
* At 554 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain moving north across the warned area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

Be aware that the potential for tornadoes exists this evening, through late tonight. Please monitor should a warning be deemed necessary due to any approaching storms that have the potential of spawning a tornado. Avoid unnecessary travel. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely. 128Address/Location
