* At 10:45 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 10.9 feet, or 4.1 feet below flood stage.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this evening to a crest of 16.3 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage tomorrow morning.
* Impact...At 16.0 feet, Water goes over the banks of the Potomac near the mouth of the Opequon River.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 16.3 feet on 02/11/1994.
