INCIDENT: PC 270 - Child Neglect

SUSPECT(S): Ashley Kratz Age: 31-year-old female of Crestline, CA
VICTIM(S): Juvenile #1, age: 2
Juvenile #2, age: 4
Juvenile #3, age: 7
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, September 1, 2021, deputies from the Twin Peaks Sheriff's Station responded to a call for service at a home in the 22000 block of Waters Drive in the Valley of Enchantment Community in Crestline. Upon arrival, deputies found two juveniles outisde of the residence unsupervised. Deputies contacted the mother of the juveniles, Ashley Kratz, who was intoxicated.
Deputies inspected the residence and found the condition of the home to be hazardous for young children. A third juvenile was found in an upstairs bedroom. All three juveniles showed obvious signs of neglect, and were placed into Children and Family Services' custody. Kratz was arrested and booked into jail for child neglect (PC 270).
