SUMMARY: On Thursday, September 2, 2021, deputies from the Fontana Sheriff's Station responded to  9-1-1 calls from residents reporting loud gunfire coming from a residence in the 18000 block of Taylor Avenue.  When deputies arrived, they made contact with three subjects, later identified as Robert Banzzini, Ricardo Silva and Fernando Godinez.

As deputies conducted their investigation, they noticed multiple fired cartridge cases from an assault rifle on the ground, in plain view.

Deputies detained the subjects while they conducted a safety sweep for any possible injured victims. There were no victims located where the assault rifle had been fired. Investigators secured the crime scene while detectives authored a search warrant for the residence and vehicles involved.

The search warrant was executed without incident which resulted in valuable evidence recovered including video surveilance of the three subjects with the assault rifle fired. All three were arrested for discharging a firearm in a gross negligent manner, conspiracy to commit a crime and outstanding arrest warrants. They were transported and booked at the West Valley Detention Center for the above charges.
