SUBJECT OF RELEASE: Car-motorcycle injury crash.
DATE AND TIME: Approximately 1:50 P.M. on Thursday, September 2, 2021.
LOCATION: Johnson Road near Pake Road, Montcalm Township.

The Montcalm County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a car versus motorcycle crash that resulted in injuries.
The investigation revealed that a 37-year-old Greenville man was headed north on Johnson Road on his 2008 Harley-Davidson motorcycle while a 45-year-old Orleans man was travelling south in his 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche with a 41-year-old Orleans woman. The Orleans man did not see the motorcycle and turned left into a private drive and into the path of the motorcycle. The collision resulted in severe injuries to the Greenville man, and he was flown via Aeromed to Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital for treatment.
The occupants of the Chevrolet were both wearing their seatbelts. The driver of the Harley-Davidson was not wearing a helmut. Speed was not a factor in the crash.
