Advisory

AGPD officers arrest a suspect seen brandishing and making threats with a firearm.

On September 5, 2021 at 0100 hours, patrol officers from Arroyo Grande Police Department were dispatched to a bar in the 100 block of W. Branch Street for a report of a man brandishing a firearm. 
 
Responding officers observed two (2) male subjects running away from the scene.  Officers attempted to stop the subjects but they continued to flee.  Assistance was requested from local agencies including the San Luis Obispo Sheriff’s Office, Grover Beach Police Department, and Pismo Beach Police Department.  Deputies and officers conducted a coordinated search and located both subjects, who were hiding, and detained them without incident. 
 
A search of the area also resulted in locating a loaded handgun which was discarded by one of the suspects.  Officers conducted interviews and reviewed surveillance footage. Through their investigation, Anthony Isaac Holder was positively identified as the suspect who brandished the firearm. 
 
Holder was taken into custody and booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail for the following charges:
 
PC 422 – Terrorist Threats
PC 417(a)(2) – Exhibit firearm
PC 25850-  Possession of a loaded firearm
PC 148(a)(1) – Resist, obstruct, delay officers.
