SUBJECT OF RELEASE: Felonious Assault Arrest
DATE AND TIME: Approximately 2:10 A.M on Sunday, September 5, 2021.
LOCATION: Commercial business in the 20000 block of West Edgar Road, Reynolds Township.

Sheriff’s deputies were sent to a business in the 20000 block of West Edgar Road, Reynolds Township, at approximately 2:10 A.M. on Sunday, September 5, 2021 to a report of a report of a stabbing. The report led to the arrest of a 36-year-old Pierson man.
The deputies responded to the business and learned two men had sustained non-life threatening injuries. The incident began with the suspect, Jason Keith Parker, and another man, a 31-year-old from Howard City, arguing while in the business. The two were told to leave. As the Howard City man was leaving and approaching his car, Parker attacked him and attempted to stab him. The manager of the business, a 49-year-old Coral man, intervened and was injured with the knife as well. Parker fled the scene. The deputies were able to locate Parker at his home and took him into custody. The weapon was recovered during the investigation.
Parker has been charged with two counts of Assault With A Dangerous Weapon and is currently out on a $15,000.00 bond.
Both victims sought their own medical treatment. The Michigan State Police assisted in the investigation.
