LOCATION: 19500 block of Sequoia Avenue, Hesperia
SUSPECT(S): Unknown
VICTIM(S): Eugene Calloway Sr., 44-year-old male (deceased)
Eugene Calloway Jr., 25-year-old male
SUMMARY: On Saturday, September 4, 2021, deputies with the Hesperia Police Department responded to the 19500 block of Sequoia Avenue for a report of gunshots heard.
Upon arrival, deputies located two gunshot wound victims. Eugene Calloway Sr. was pronounced deceased at the scene. Eugene Calloway Jr. was transported to a local hospital for treatment and is expected to recover.
Detectives with Sheriff’s Specialized Investigation Division, Homicide Detail responded to the scene and are conducting the investigation.
