Mosquito Spraying in Knowlton Township on Wednesday, September 8, 2021
NOTICE OF MOSQUITO SPRAYING
The Warren County Mosquito Control Commission is planning to perform a limited, targeted adult mosquito treatment in Knowlton Township on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, between the hours of 7:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m., weather permitting.
The following areas will be targeted:
Riverview Avenue
Brookside Avenue
N. Riverview Avenue
Orchard Avenue
Watergap View Avenue
An adult mosquito insecticide will be sprayed by Ultra-low volume (ULV) truck-mounted sprayer. The product being applied is: Zenivex E4 (EPA Reg # 2724-807) Active Ingredient Etofenprox or Deltagard Insecticide (EPA Reg # 432-1534) Active ingredient Deltamethrin.
Trucks are clearly marked as mosquito control vehicles. Applications are limited and targeted to areas of high populations of nuisance and West Nile virus positive mosquitoes. Due to the ultra-low volume technology, residential exposure is very low. If residents prefer to stay inside and close windows and doors when spraying takes place they can, out of an abundance of precaution, but it is not necessary. The spray does not harm pets, but residents may choose to bring them inside while the spraying occurs.
Residents can call the Warren County Mosquito Commission with questions at: (908) 453-3585.
