SEPTEMBER 9, 2021
A phone bank has been set up by the Grundy County Emergency Management Agency to collect data with regard to Grundy County residents that have structural damage due to the severe thunderstorms that occurred on September 7, 2021. The Grundy County Emergency Management Agency is requesting that any residents with structural storm damage, including damage to roofs, siding, windows, doors or building. Call the phone bank at (815) 941-3212 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 9 through Thursday, September 16, for a short interview. If no one answers, please leave a voicemail for a follow-up phone call. Village of Minooka residents and businesses are encouraged to watch the Village of Minooka website www.minooka.com as well as the Minooka Police Department and Minooka Fire District Facebook pages for information on reporting damage.
This information will be gathered and submitted to the Illinois Emergency Management Agency, who will ultimately share it with FEMA to determine if Grundy County is eligible for federal financial assistance due to this severe thunderstorm incident.
