Full Notification

On Thursday, September 9, 2021 at approximately 11:15am, the Sebastopol Police Department received a call from the West County High School administration regarding a second-hand report of a student who was possibly in possession of a firearm. Based on the available information at the time of the report, the school administration followed established procedures for a school lockdown.

Sebastopol police officers and the school administration made contact with the students who reported the information, and the named student was contacted without incident. Based on the investigation at this time, there was no threat to any student, staff, or faculty. No firearm was located, and no injuries were reported.
