INCIDENT: Felon in Possession of a Dangerous Weapon
LOCATION: Mariposa Road/ Kingswood Drive, Victorville
SUSPECT(S): Rafael Suarez, 25-years-old, resident of Adelanto
SUMMARY: On September 12, 2021, at approximately 10:45 pm, deputies from the Victorville Police Station responded to the area of Mariposa Road and Kingswood Drive in reference to a male matching the description from a previous a call for service. Deputies contacted Rafael Suarez and during a search of his person, a firearm was located. Through investigation, deputies confirmed Suarez was a convicted felon and is prohibited from owning a firearm.
Suarez was found to be unrelated to the prior call for service and was subsequently arrested without incident and booked at the High Desert Detention Center for PC 29800(A)(1)- Felon in Possession of a Firearm and PC30305(A)(1)- Prohibited to Own Ammunition.
