Armed Subject Arrest
On 9/12/21 at 8:48PM, Janesville Police Officers were dispatched to 200 N. Jackson at the River Flats Apartments for an armed subject. The reporting person came to the police department to report a male pointed a gun at her daughter.
Officer entered the apartment building and spoke to the victim. She confirmed the suspect threatened her with a gun. After about an hour, the suspect exited the apartment and was taken into custody. A gun was located in the apartment.
Demarco Whitby, a 29-year-old Janesville Resident, was arrested on the following charges:
2nd Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety (2 counts)
Battery/Domestic Violence
False Imprisonment Domestic Violence
