SUBJECT:  Motor Vehicle Stop Leads to Narcotics Arrest

LOCATION: Rt. 35 and Carol Avenue in Ocean Township      
 
ACCUSED: Rodson Fortune 23 year old male of Neptune, NJ
Louis Prosper-Junior 21 year old male of Hallandale Beach, FL
Janissa Almineur 18 year old female of Neptune, NJ
 
NARRATIVE:   On September 6^th, 2021 at approximately 11:00 pm Detective Michael Legg conducted a motor vehicle stop for traffic infractions while working a Driving While Intoxicated assignment.  He approached the driver and identified him as Rodson Fortune of Neptune, NJ.  Detective Legg observed several pieces of narcotics paraphernalia scattered throughout the vehicle.  All of the occupants of the vehicle were removed prior to a search being conducted.  The other occupants were identified as Louis Prosper-Junior, Janissa Almineur and a juvenile.  A search of the vehicle uncovered drug paraphernalia, over six ounces of marijuana, Xanax, psilocybin mushrooms and a large amount of cash.  All of the occupants were placed under arrest and transported to headquarters for processing. 
     Rodson Fortune was charged with Possession of Marijuana over six ounces, Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Distribute, Possession of Xanax, Possession of Psilocybin Mushrooms, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Resisting Arrest, and Criminal Mischief. 
     Louis Prosper-Junior was charged with Possession of Marijuana over six ounces, Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Distribute. Possession of Xanax, Possession of Psilocybin Mushrooms, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Resisting Arrest and Obstruction. 
     Janissa Almineur was charged with Possession of Marijuana over six ounces, Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Distribute, Possession of Xanax, Possession of Psilocybin Mushrooms and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. 
     Rodson Fortune was transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institute pending an initial court appearance.  Louis Prosper-Junior and Janissa Almineur were both released on a criminal summons pending their initial court appearance.  The juvenile was charged accordingly and released to a guardian.
