Southbound IS-270 will be closed for up to an hour, at approx. 2:00 PM, for the procession of LCpl Jared Schmitz. 
Today (9/16/2021), The Missouri State Highway Patrol will be temporarily closing down southbound Interstate 270 as the body of Lance Corporal Jared Schmitz is transported to Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
The procession will start at 2:00 PM, leaving the St Charles area, and The Missouri State Highway Patrol advises the highways along the procession route could be shut down for up to an hour.
Alternative routes include Highway 141 and Lindbergh (Route 67). Thank You in advance for your patience.
