Folsom Police Department Shares Results of DUI Checkpoint. 
Two people were arrested for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) and 10 citations were issued for infractions, such as driving with suspended/revoked license or without a license while conducting a DUI checkpoint on September 9, 2021 at East Bidwell Street and Orchard Drive.
Checkpoint locations are based on a history of crashes and DUI arrests. The primary purpose of checkpoints is not to make arrests, but to promote public safety by deterring drivers from driving impaired.
The Folsom Police Department is committed to keeping the public safe when they are traveling.
Funding for this checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety
