The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a
* Flood Advisory for... East Central Orange County in east central Florida... Southwestern Seminole County in east central Florida...
* Until 530 PM EDT.
* At 402 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Altamonte Springs, Oviedo, Winter Springs, Winter Park, Casselberry, Maitland, Longwood, Wedgefield, Bithlo, University Of Central Florida, Chuluota, Avalon Park, Goldenrod, Christmas, Union Park, Fern Park and Aloma. Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
* AFFECTED AREAS: ORANGE, FL ... SEMINOLE, FL
