* At 528 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Merriam, moving northeast at 25 mph. HAZARD...Two inch hail and 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. At 522 PM, 1 inch hail was reported 4 miles WSW of Shawnee in Johnson County, KS. IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include... Kansas City, Overland Park, Independence, Lee's Summit, Shawnee, Lenexa, Leawood, Raytown, Prairie Village, Merriam, Mission, Fairway, Mission Hills, Sugar Creek, Westwood, Lake Quivira, Westwood Hills, Mission Woods, Countryside and Roeland Park.
