Burglary

On 09-21-21 at 2:38am Janesville Police and Fire responded to a possible burglary and fire investigation in the 600 blk of S High St.  Upon arrival Janesville Patrol Officers located a fire burning on the second level of a multi-family residence.  Officers made entry and evacuated residents of apartments.  Officers were able to use fire extinguishers to keep the fire down until the Janesville Fire Department arrived.  At this time the fire is suspicious and is being investigated by the Investigations Division.  One Janesville Police Officer was transported to a local hospital with smoke inhalation.  They were treated and released.  No other injuries were reported.
