COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics October 12 & November 2

Two COVID-19 vaccination clinics will be held on Jekyll Island on October 12 and November 2 at the Morgan Center (Jekyll Island Club Resort) from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. The clinics are open to island employees, residents, and the general public.

The Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson vaccines will be available, based on preference. Those who receive the Pfizer vaccine will need to bring their vaccination card when they return on November 2, for completion.

Health insurance cards and I.D. are not required to receive the vaccine. Appointments are not required but are encouraged to reduce wait time. Appointment scheduling, an FAQ, and details can be found online:

The mobile clinics will be managed by Core Response, a partner of the Georgia Department of Public Health (GDPH).

The following information was provided by GDPH regarding COVID-19 booster doses:

The Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) will await recommendations from the CDC and the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) before releasing a plan to administer booster doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine in Georgia. When CDC/ACIP provides recommendations and guidelines for booster shots, DPH has the inventory to quickly ramp up access to the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine statewide.

As a reminder, health departments in the Coastal Health District are administering third doses of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine to individuals with certain immune conditions. A list of qualifying conditions can be found at gachd.org/covidvaccine/.
