This month, Fremont Police Department will deploy the newest addition to its police patrol fleet of over forty hybrid and electric vehicles – a Tesla Model Y. This deployment stems from the highly favorable results of the first year of FPD’s Electric Patrol Vehicle Program, which aims to improve sustainability and cost efficiency by transitioning from gas-powered vehicles to electric vehicles.
