FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM EDT THIS MORNING
THROUGH LATE TONIGHT...
The Flash Flood Watch continues for
* Portions of central New Jersey...northern New Jersey...and
northwest New Jersey...including the following areas...in central
New Jersey...Mercer. In northern New Jersey...Middlesex, Morris,
Somerset, Sussex, and Warren. In northwest New Jersey...Hunterdon.
* From 11 AM EDT this morning through late tonight.
* Showers and thunderstorms will develop ahead of and with the
passage of a cold front tonight. Rain will be heavy at times.
Widespread rainfall totals will range from 1 to 2.5 inches with
locally higher amounts possible.
* Flash flooding of creeks, streams, urban areas, and poor drainage
areas is possible in the areas of heaviest rain.
Instructions:
Monitor weather forecasts.. Be ready to evacuate from flood-prone areas.. If you live in a flood-prone area, consider evacuation before waters rise to trap you in your home.. Do not drive through flooded roadways.. Do not drive past Police barricades.. Report any potential threats to life or property through the 911 system.
