The NJ Department of Transportation has announced that the railroad tunnel on Route 206 in Andover Borough will need to undergo major reconstruction requiring complete closure of Route 206 for a minimum of nine months.

This project as currently proposed, is expected to have major implications on Byram Township. 

The detour that has been planned will direct Route 206 traffic onto residential roads.  The primary detour will be on Roseville Rd. to Tamarack Rd. 

Byram Township is strongly encouraging residents, business owners and commuters to review the material, and offer their comments (see link below).

The New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) will be hosting a virtual Public Information Center on the upcoming Route. 206 over Pequest project in Andover, and has provided the following information along with the attachment to this message for your review and consideration:

The website will be live from Monday, Sept. 27, 2021 to Sunday, Oct. 10, 2021

NJDOT has mailed the attached flyer to properties within the project vicinity.
