Suspect:          Bobby Elias, 29 year old resident of San Bernardino, CA

 

Information: 
 
On Friday 09/24/21, at approximately 9:15 AM, the Rialto Police Department was notified of the ongoing occurrence of inappropriate communication between the suspect and a 16 year old female student.  Elias was a former part-time volleyball coach at Eisenhower High School and former part-time recreational specialist for the City of Rialto.  During his employment at the high school Elias had been exchanging lude content with the student via cell phone.  Elias was taken into custody at 3:16 PM in the parking lot of Eisenhower High School without incident.  Elias was booked into the West Valley Detention Center on charges of PC 288.3(a) – Inappropriate communication with a minor and PC 647.6(a)(1) – Annoy or molest a minor under 18 years of age with a bail amount of $100,000.  The Rialto Police Department and Rialto Unified School District worked in concert throughout the investigation and will continue to do so.
