Moraga Road will be Closed in the Southbound starting Tuesday 9/28 through Monday 11/1 from 9am - 4:30 pm.

Moraga Road will be Closed in the Southbound direction starting on Tuesday 9/28 through Monday 11/1 from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm.   The closure will begin at Saint Mary’s Road and will extend to the City limits with the Town of Moraga.  Access will be permitted to properties between Saint Mary’s Road and Old Jonas Hill Road via Hamlin Road.  Non-emergency vehicles will not be permitted past Old Jonas Hill Road and will be turned around.  A detour will be in place directing traffic down Saint Mary’s Road to Rheem Boulevard and back to Moraga Road.  Travel delays should be expected. 
 
 
The City of Lafayette is working on repaving Moraga Road from Rimrock Road to the city limits. This past week, there was a conflict with PG&E work being performed on Saint Mary’s Road, so our work on Moraga Road was postponed.  Starting Tuesday 9/28/21 the City’s contactor, Granite Rock, plans to be back on Moraga Road.  It is anticipated that they will continue working on Moraga Road with this closure in place until November 1.  This schedule is subject to change, so please continue to check the Friday Updates on the City Website.

  • Moraga Road will be Closed in the Southbound direction starting on Tuesday, September 28.
    • The lane closure will be in effect daily from 9:00 a.m.to 4:30 p.m. through Friday, September 24.
    • The closure will begin at Saint Mary’s Road and will extend to the City limits with the Town of Moraga. Access will be permitted to properties between Saint Mary’s Road and Old Jonas Hill Road via Hamlin Road.
