* At 123 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms have ended over much of the area, however heavy rain continues across the southern portions of the warned area. Between 2 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Lake Charles, Sulphur, Westlake, Vinton, Iowa, Lake Charles Regional Airport, Moss Bluff, Starks, Carlyss, Buhler, Edgerly, Gillis, Lebleu Settlement, Holmwood, Topsy, Hackberry, Lunita, Toomey, Buller and Bell City.
