ARRAIGNMENT/BAIL STATUS: On 9-29-2021, Alex Kocjan was arraigned in Amsterdam City Court in front of Honorable Judge Lisa W. Lorman and was released on his own recognizance. Kocjan was ordered to appear back in City court on a later date.
INCIDENT NARRATIVE:
The Amsterdam Police Department in conjunction with the Drug Enforcement Administration conducted an investigation into the criminal sale of controlled substances by Alex Kocjan. Kocjan along with his attorney turned himself into Amsterdam Police Department where was processed on the above charge. The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office assisted in this investigation.
While there was probable cause for this arrest, all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
