Yucaipa Resident, Joseph Johnson, Arrested for Possession of Narcotics for Sale

INCIDENT: Possession of Narcotics for Sale
LOCATION: Douglas Street & Acacia Lane, Yucaipa
SUSPECT(S): Joseph Johnson, 21-year-old resident of Yucaipa
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at approximately 8:17 p.m., Deputy D. Brandt and Deputy A. Alcala initiated a traffic stop in the area of Douglas Street and Acacia Lane. The sole occupant of the vehicle, Joshua Johnson, was contacted by deputies and known to have an outstanding warrant.
During a search of his vehicle, approximately 24.6 grams of fentanyl were located. In addition to the narcotics, multiple items related to selling narcotics were also located in the vehicle.
Later during a search of Johnson’s residence, a loaded non-serialized firearm was recovered. Johnson was arrested for possession for sale/transportation of narcotics. He was booked into Central Detention Center for multiple felony violations.
