We've expanded the set up time to include Monday, October 11th, so that families that are off for the holiday may use that day to set up their Scarecrows in front of Town Hall.

Entry is $25 to participate, which includes hay and a post. All scarecrows will be set up on the front lawn of Town Hall and will be assigned a number. Scarecrows can be set up between 9 am and 4 pm on Saturday, October 9th & Sunday, October 10th. The community can vote through the Aberdeen Township Facebook page from Monday, October 11th to Sunday, October 17th at 4:00pm. Only one vote per person. Only scarecrows registered and decorated in time will be in the running.

Winning entries will be announced on Facebook on Monday, October 18th. Certificates will be placed on the winning scarecrows and will remain on display until Friday, October 29th. 

Scarecrows must be durable and able to stand up to all types of weather. Use care in choosing your materials. All decorations must be firmly attached. We reserve the right to remove any entries that do not maintain their ability to be displayed. As part of your display feel free to make a sign to name your scarecrow.  The scarecrow contest is family friendly.   Please be mindful of the theme of your scarecrows.  Aberdeen Township reserves the right to disqualify entries we feel to be distasteful or not family friendly.
