* Until 1115 AM EDT.
* At 810 AM EDT, A stream gauge on the Rocky Broad River at Bat Cave indicated flash flooding was occurring along the stream. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Gauges reported. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. The Rocky Broad River will overflow its banks between Bat Cave and Lake Lure, flooding campgrounds and possibly structures immediately along the river.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Lake Lure, Chimney Rock Village, Bat Cave and Chimney Rock State Park.
