FIRE WEATHER WARNING
From the National Weather Service - A red flag warning is in effect for leeward areas of Maui County until 6 PM Friday.
EFFECTS: A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures will create rapid fire growth potential. A red flag warning does not predict new fire starts.
INFORMATION: The Maui County Emergency Management Agency will continue to monitor the situation. Additional information may be found through your local TV and radio stations, or NOAA Weather Radio. National Weather Service information can be obtained at weather.gov/hfo, or by calling 1-866-944-5025.
