INCIDENT: Assault With a Weapon / Corporal Injury to Cohabitant
LOCATION: 9000 block of Pine Court, unincorporated Fontana
SUSPECT(S): Andrew Hernandez, age 24, a resident of unincorporated Fontana
SUMMARY: On Saturday, October 2, 2021, around 3:19 p.m., deputies learned there was a victim of domestic violence at a local hospital. Through investigation the deputies determined Andrew Hernandez, age 24, of unincorporated Fontana had a romantic relationship with the victim. During an argument in the 9000 block of Pine Court, unincorporated Fontana, the victim reported Hernandez choked her and stabbed her several times with the keys to a vehicle. She suffered injuries consistent with her statement which required professional medical care at a hospital. Deputies attempted to speak with Hernandez, but he could not be located. On Wednesday, October 6, around 1:00 P.M., Hernandez came to the Fontana Station. After an interview, he was arrested and booked into West Valley Detention Center for several felonies.
