Community Policing Leads To The Discovery of Guns, Ammunition and Methamphetamine

In our continued efforts to advance safety, service and the quality of life, the Fairfield Police Department’s Special Operations Team (SOT) recently received information that illegal firearms were being sold from a resident living in the 200 block of Santa Cruz Dr.

Over several weeks SOT Detectives investigated the complaint and obtained a search warrant for the property. On October 6, 2021 the department’s SWAT team served the search warrant and detained several subjects who were inside of the house. After the scene was secure SOT Detectives searched the residence and located six illegally possessed firearms. In addition, miscellaneous gun parts, two “jigs” that are molds to assist with making handguns, ammunition and methamphetamine were also discovered. 40-year-old Eric Brown and 49-year-old Sandor Sklar were booked into the Solano County Jail on numerous felony charges.

The Fairfield Police Department’s Code Enforcement Unit is working in conjunction with Investigations, and the owner of the property. Code Enforcement has an active open case to prevent this type of activity from returning to the neighborhood.

Fairfield Police Department’s Community Policing philosophy builds collaboration and public trust with citizens to identify and resolve issues that affect the quality of life in their neighborhoods through a prevention-based approach. If you see or suspect suspicious activity in and around your neighborhood please contact the Fairfield Police Department.
