City of Asbury Park Leaf Collection Program Starts 10/15/21
• Between October 15 and December 31 DPW will collect leaves weekly.
• Place leaves in either biodegradable leaf bags or loose in piles curbside, leaving a 6-inch gap between leaf piles and the curb to allow storm water to flow through.
• Do not place leaf piles within 10 feet of storm inlets and do not rake leaves into the street as gutters and storm sewers can become blocked causing localized flooding during moderate-to-heavy rainfall.
• Clean leaf piles only. Do not include branches, grass clippings, dirt, or brush in leaf piles. These items can clog and damage equipment, as well as injure workers If leaf piles are dirty, they will not be picked up.
