The Ho-Ho-Kus Volunteer Fire Department and Ladies Auxiliary is hosting its annual Open House today—Sunday, October 10, from 1-4PM.
As part of National Fire Prevention Week, the HHKFD is providing hand-on activities for children and adults including live fire-hose target practice. Firefighters will show advanced firefighting and life-saving techniques through a series of instructive demonstrations and fire safety handouts. “Sparky,” the Ho-Ho-Kus Fire Department mascot, will be there for autographs and photos. Coloring books and toy fire helmets will be distributed to children. Cider, donuts and popcorn will be part of the fun!
