Keyes, CA - 

On Monday, October 11, at 12:55 p.m., deputies responded to the 5000 block of Nunes Road in Hughson near Keyes Road for the report of an argument between and male and female. Additional information was received that the male was trying to enter the female’s residence and she was being attacked. The California Highway Patrol then received a report that a person was shot at the same location. 

When deputies arrived at the scene, a 27-year-old male was found in the driveway of the home, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was immediately transported to a local hospital for treatment where his injuries were determined to be non-life threatening. The adult female who called sustained minor injuries and was released from the scene. It is not believed she is responsible for the shooting. 

The Crime Scene Unit is processing the scene for evidence, as deputies are working with investigators to identify and locate the person responsible for the shooting.
