Vehicle Pursuit Ends in a Residential Area in Arizona; Two Suspects Taken into Custody

DATE/TIME: October 10, 2021 / 5:08 p.m.

INCIDENT: CVC 2800.2(A)- Felony Evading, CVC 10851(A) Grand Theft Auto, PC 148(A)(1)Obstruction/Resist Arrest 

LOCATION: 1700 Block of W. Broadway, Needles CA 

SUSPECT(S):  Mason Paget, 24-year-old resident of Mohave Valley, AZ
                         Jeremiah Quirin, 23-year-old resident of Bullhead City, AZ 

VICTIM(S): CONFIDENTIAL


SUMMARY: On Sunday, October 10, 2021, at approximately 5:08 p.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station / Needles Police Department attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle with no license plate. The vehicle failed to yield and began driving recklessly in an attempt to elude deputies. The suspect vehicle led deputies on a pursuit through residential streets from Needles, CA into Mohave Valley, Arizona.  The pursuit terminated at the 2200 block of Mustang Drive in Mohave Valley, AZ where the driver and passenger fled on foot.

A records check of the vehicle revealed it was stolen out of Nevada. Deputies tracked the suspects to a nearby house where they were taken into custody without incident. Through investigation it was determined that Mason Paget was the driver and Jeremiah Quirin was the passenger. 

Mason Paget was booked in at the West Valley Detention Center for CVC10851(A)- Grand Theft Auto and CVC2800.2(A)- Felony Evading with a bail amount of $100,000.00, pending a court hearing.
 
Quirin was booked in at the Colorado River Station jail for PC148(A)(1) Obstruction/Resist Arrest and was cite released  pending a court hearing.
