San Benito County – October 12, 2021: On August 24, 2021, the San Benito County Board of Supervisors approved a $500,000 cash vaccine incentive program for San Benito County residents who have been fully vaccinated after August 9, 2021. In addition to the $200 cash incentive, San Benito County Public Health Services, also offered a $25 gift card for first dose vaccines received after August 9, 2021.
As of today, over $300,000 of the $200 Cash Vaccine Incentive Program funding has been issued to San Benito County residents who became fully vaccinated after August 9, 2021, leaving less than $200,000 remaining for this program. Further, all first dose gift cards have been issued and the county is seeking more funding to continue to provide this incentive.
As a reminder, San Benito County residents who have missed their second dose appointment or are overdue for their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and complete the vaccination series after August 9, 2021, will be eligible for the $200 Cash Inventive Program.
Once an individual is fully vaccinated, they must bring proof of identity, fully vaccinated status, and San Benito County residency to 1111 San Felipe Rd. #108, Hollister, CA 95023. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. In an addition to the $200 Cash Vaccine Incentive Program the Community Foundation for San Benito County in collaboration with community organizations is sponsoring a vaccine incentive raffle for the month of October. The raffle will consist of a $500.00 cash prize to three (3) individuals. To be eligible to enter this raffle, San Benito County residents need to complete the COVID-19 vaccine series (second dose Moderna-Pfizer/single dose J&J) between October 1, 2021, to October 31, 2021. The drawing to be held on Friday, November 5, 2021, by the Community Foundation. Eligible residents will be entered into this raffle after they receive their $200 cash incentive through San Benito County Health and Human Services Agency.
