09/02/2021      *Larceny Auto Parts
100 Block of Barker – The Peoples Express reported that sometime during the night of September 1, between 9 pm and 4:45 am September 2,  unknown suspects cut and stole catalytic converters from 10 vans. The case remains under investigation.
 
09/03/2021      *Larceny from Auto
2500 Block of Northfield Church Rd – A victim reported that during the night of September 2 – 3,  an unknown suspect entered his unlocked vehicle and took the change from his cup holder. No suspects or witnesses were identified and the case was closed.
 
 
09/03/2021       *Arrest – Assault with Intent to Murder, Discharge of Firearm at a  Building, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, & Felonious Assault
300 Block of Emerald Circle South – Officers responded to a shooting in progress.  Upon arrival to the scene an Officer located the suspect and took the 22 year old male into custody without incident.  The investigation revealed that after an argument, shots were fired by known acquaintances and no injuries were reported. Witness statements and evidence were collected and the case forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office for review.  Charges of Assault with Intent to Murder along with 3 other felonies were authorized and the suspect was released on $5000.00 cash bond.
 
 09/03/2021      *Larceny Auto Parts
200 block of Barker Rd – A complainant reported that sometime between August 23 and September 3, an unknown suspect(s) removed and stole a catalytic convertor from a private
ambulance parked on the property.  No suspects or witnesses were identified.
 
09/04/2021      *Dumping Complainant
700 Block of Six Mile Rd – An Officer responded to an illegal dumping complaint. The Officer determined ownership of the garbage and identified the owner who will be ticketed for illegal dumping. 
 
 09/05/2021      *Illegal Dumping – Citation Issued
7600 Block of Horseshoe Blvd–A complainant reported that someone dumped a damaged boat onto the street and left.  The responding officer was able to determine ownership and identify the subject who had dumped the boat.  After a disappointing purchase, the new owner was upset and  deposited a damaged boat near the seller’s home.  The suspect was advised the property was his responsibility.  The property was impounded and the owner/ dumper was issued a citation (ticket) for illegal dumping. 

09/06/2021      *Arrest – Stolen Property  - Receiving and Concealing Motor / Financial Trans Device stealing /retaining without consent  & Unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
 8300 Block of  Main St –A victim reported that a known acquaintance took both her credit card and motor vehicle without her permission.  The investigation revealed that when the suspect was stopped, he was in possession of both the missing / stolen items. Further the suspect had used the victims debit card to withdraw money.  The suspect was arrested and charges were authorized by the prosecutor’s office.
 
09/08/2021      *Larceny
6800 block of Whitmore Lake – A complainant reported that a white male suspect, 30-40 year old, with blond hair, wearing a powder blue t-shirt, jean shorts and Adidas sandals entered the store and left the store with property, without paying.  The case is open pending additional information from the retail facility.
 
09/08/2021      * Larceny from Auto
9800 Block of Main St – A complainant reported that sometime between September 2 & September 4, someone entered her docked pontoon boat and removed several items. No witnesses or suspects were identified at the time of the report.
 
09/09/2021      *Arrest – Driving on a Suspended License Misdemeanor Ticket Issued
Main St & Seven Mile Rd – An Officer on patrol observed a vehicle on the roadway without a license plate. During the traffic stop of the vehicle, the driver stated that his license was suspended.  After confirming the suspension, the driver was arrested and the vehicle impounded. The arrested driver was released with a ticket after being processed.
 
09/10/2021      *Stolen Vehicle – Recovered/Returned
300 block of Opal – A complainant reported that after driving the owner of the car to the airport, the acquaintance failed to return the owners vehicle.  The Officer investigating the case was able to follow up on leads, make contact with the suspect and get the car returned.  Case forwarded to the prosecutor’s office for review.
 
09/10/2021      *Reckless Driver Investigation
Main Street – An Officer received a call of a reckless driver who had been involved in minor crashes.  The Officer was able to locate the vehicle and the investigation determined a medical condition may have contributed to the driving.  Huron Valley Ambulance  and Northfield Fire responded to evaluate the driver. The Officer took reports on the damage properties.  
 
09/10/2021      *Malicious Destruction of Property
E. North Territorial  - During a dispute a female half became angry and with a baseball bat, purposefully struck and damaged the male half’s work truck.  Upon completion of the investigation charges were submitted and authorized on the female for Malicious Destruction of Property.
  
09/12-13/2021     *Larceny from Vehicle
Water Lily / Lillian Court –  Complainants reported that sometime between 7pm on September 11 & 8 am September 12, an unknown suspect(s) entered their unlocked vehicles and stole the loose change from their consoles. The case remains under investigation.
 
 09/14/21          *Larceny from Vehicle
Holiday Dr – The complainant stated that she parked and locked her vehicle in the driveway and sometime during the night of September 11,  unknown subject(s) entered her vehicle and removed several items. The victim believes her vehicle may have accidently been opened after she locked it.  The case remains under investigation.
 
 09/15/21          *Fraud – Identity Theft
100 Block of Pearl – A complainant reported that he received a letter from the Ohio unemployment agency stating he was no longer eligible for benefits.  The complainant advised he has not lived in Ohio for many years and did not file the claim.  Fraud documentation recorded.
 
09/15/2021      *Damage to Property – Possible bullet holes
Emerald Circle – On September 14, a homeowner observed a hole in her homes’ siding that appeared to have been made from a bullet.  The investigation revealed additional damages to surrounding residences. No injuries have been reported. The case remains under investigation.
 
09/15/2021     *Larceny from Auto / Fraudulent Use of a Debit Card
9100 block of Posey – A victim reported that her debit card financial institution contacted her about fraudulent purchases, at which point she realized her wallet containing her ID & debit cards  had been taken from her vehicle.  The case remains under investigation.
 
09/15/2021      *Illegal Marijuana Grow
E. Northfield Church – A complainant reported unexpectedly finding several marijuana plants growing amongst his corn.  The plants were dug up taken to NTPD and were destroyed.  The case was closed.
 
09/18/2021      *Arrest – Disorderly Conduct / Assault & Battery on Police Officers
6400 block of Sutton – Officers responded to an intoxicated disorderly male wanting to fight everyone.  Officers arrived and attempted to calm down and interview the subject who was being restrained.  The subject continued to be aggressive and assaulted the  two responding Officers – kicking and spitting on them. The subject was arrested and the case has been submitted to the prosecutor’s office for review of charges.
 
09/20/2021      *Larceny Auto Parts
6700 block of Whitmore Lake –A complainant reported that sometime during the night of September 20, unknown suspect(s) cut catalytic converters from two of the company’s vehicles.  Officers were able to collect evidence and the case remains under investigation.
 
09/22/2021      *Fail to Stop for a School Bus
East Shore & Elizabeth – A complainant reported that a large black Chevrolet dual wheel pickup disregarded the school bus lights and stop sign.  A license plate was provided and the Officer was able to identify and contact the driver of the vehicle.  Based the circumstances, and the desire of the bus driver, the driver was issued a warning.
 
09/24/2021      *Embezzlement
7400 block of Kearny – A complainant reported a former employee had been stealing money from his company. The case is currently under investigation.
 
09/25/2021      *Arrest –Hit & Run / Operating While Intoxicated -
9000 block of  Posey Dr –An Officer responded to a hit and run of a parked vehicle.  After receiving information on the suspected vehicle the Officer was able to locate the vehicle with fresh damage.  While interviewing the driver, the Officer recognized signs of intoxication.  The Officer had the driver perform sobriety tasks to confirm these signs. The driver was arrested and transported to the hospital for a consented blood draw.  The case remains open pending lab results.
 
09/25/2021      *Arrest –Fugitive Warrants
8 Mile & Leman  - An Officer on patrol observed a vehicle disregard a stop sign. During the traffic stop of the vehicle, the driver stated his license was suspended and the Officer discovered the driver was wanted on outstanding warrants. The driver was arrested, the vehicle turned over to a relative and the driver was turned over to jurisdiction holding the warrants.
 
 09/28/2021      *Fraud
200 block of Dartmoor – A complainant reported that a relative has been fraudulently befriended and convinced to purchase several cell phones, gift cards & money transfers.  The case is under investigation.
