Second Suspect in Assault and Robbery Identified and Arrested in Rancho Cucamonga

DATE/TIME: October 13, 2021/ 6:00 p.m.

INCIDENT: Robbery, Assault with a Deadly Weapon

LOCATION: Etiwanda High School, 13500 Victoria Street, Rancho Cucamonga

SUSPECT(S):  Two 17-year-old female juveniles

Through the course of the ongoing investigation, deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Station identified the second suspect in the assault that occurred last night.  

On October 14, 2021, at 10:00 a.m., the 17-year-old female juvenile suspect was arrested at her school in Rancho Cucamonga.  She was transported and booked in at Juvenile Hall and is being held on charges of assault with a deadly weapon and robbery.

SUMMARY: On October 12, 2021, at approximately 7:00 p.m., the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department responded to the report of a fight in the parking lot of Etiwanda High School following a volleyball game. Several witnesses reported two juvenile females were assaulting another juvenile female. Deputies found the victim was physically assaulted and had her jewelry taken from her. The suspects fled the school before deputies arrived. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries from the assault. 

Through the investigation, deputies identified one of the suspects as a juvenile female that currently attends Rancho Cucamonga High School.  On October 13, 2021 at about 11:30 a.m., deputies arrested this suspect at the school. The suspect was transported and booked at Juvenile Hall for assault with a deadly weapon and robbery.

The second suspect is still outstanding, and deputies are currently following up on leads to identify and locate her.
