A MESSAGE FROM THE POLICE DEPARTMENT
The Culver City Police Department is following developments of a possible protest by a political group, stated to occur tomorrow, Saturday, October 16. We want to take this opportunity to assure the Culver City community that we are committed to working with our City’s leadership and our regional partners to ensure the safety of our entire community, as well as recognizing the rights of all to participate in the peaceful exercise of their Constitutional Rights. At this time, there are no known credible threats associated with this protest.
The Culver City Police Department has an operational plan in place and is prepared to appropriately respond to any incident within the City limits, as additional uniformed personnel will be in the field providing a high visible presence. Our response to calls for service should not be impacted. At this point, the protest is not expected to occur in Culver City and no permit has been issued.
The Culver City Police Department will always strive to protect the rights and liberties of all persons while providing a high level of professional service to our residents, businesses and visitors.
