INCIDENT: Vehicle vs. Pedestrian Traffic Collision
LOCATION: 12199 Hesperia Road, Victorville, Ca 92395
SUSPECT(S): None
VICTIM(S): Confidential, 4-year-old female of Apple Valley
SUMMARY: On Saturday, October 16, 2021, at approximately 3:28 p.m., deputies from the Victorville Police Station as well as personnel from the Victorville Fire Department responded to 12199 Hesperia Road in the city of Victorville reference a vehicle vs. pedestrian traffic collision involving a 4-year-old child.
Upon arrival, deputies and medical personnel located the 4-year-old victim unresponsive with major injuries. Despite life saving measures, the female juvenile was pronounced deceased at Desert Valley Hospital.
According to the investigation, for reasons still unknown, the vehicle backed over the child in the parking lot at the incident location. A large area of the parking lot remained closed off while the investigation was conducted. All parties involved and witnesses remained on scene.
