Deceased man in yesterday's Lady Island shooting identified as 47-year-old Laventis Cohen. Case under investigation 
The Beaufort County Coroner's Office identified the deceased man in yesterday's (October 16, 2021) Brickyard Point Road North, Lady's Island shooting incident as 47-year-old Laventis Cohen.
A forensic autopsy will be conducted at the Medical University of South Carolina to confirm the cause of Cohen's death.
As of the time of this advisory, no one has been charged; the case remains under investigation.
