Pedestrian vs Train Fatality
On Monday, October 18, 2021, at 2:37 a.m., Turlock Police Officers were dispatched to a train vs. pedestrian at the intersection of N. Olive Avenue and N. First Street in Turlock. In addition to TPD units, medical units from the Turlock Fire Department and AMR also responded.
Upon arrival, officers located a deceased 41 year old male whose identity will not be released until next of kin has been notified.
The train was traveling northbound through town and hit the victim who was on the tracks wearing all black. The train was stopped for approximately one and a half hours, blocking intersections from W. Canal to W. F Street, while officers were investigating the scene.
