It has been brought to our agency’s attention that there is currently misinformation being spread regarding an incident that occurred within our jurisdiction during the early morning hours of 10/20/21.  In an effort to clarify some of the details regarding the incident, two unknown actors were observed in the backyard of a residence and were scared off once the resident observed their presence.  During the event no weapons were brandished, nor were the accused parties wearing Hazmat suits.  This is an ongoing police investigation so please contact the Borough of Deal Police Department directly if you have any additional information that may assist with the investigation. 

We would also like to remind our residents not to attempt to chase or apprehend these subjects on their own accord and to please contact the Borough of Deal Police Department IMMEDIATELY if you see anything suspicious.
