Motorcycle vs Deer
 
Sheriff Richard J. Behnke, reports that on 10/22/2021 at approximately 22:06 hours, his office was called to investigate a single vehicle crash, on Union Rd in Porter Township, Cass County.  67 
year-old Robert George Konopinski, from Plymouth IN, was riding his motorcycle eastbound on Union Rd when a dog ran out striking his motorcycle causing him to crash.  Konopinski was taken to South Bend Memorial for his injuries.



Assisting at the scene Cass County at the scene was SEPSA Ambulance.  Konopinski was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and alcohol was not a factor.
