If you live or work in Wofford Heights or Pala Ranches, please pay attention to this message.

The National Weather Service predicts a very wet storm will impact Kern County, beginning on Sunday October 24th through Monday, October 25th

A limited number of sandbags are available for residents who live in areas downslope or adjacent to drainages below the French Fire burn scar, which may be subject to mud and debris flow.  If you already have sandbags or do not live in the areas of risk, please be a good neighbor and do not pick up the sandbags provided by the county as inventory is limited.

Sandbags are available October 23, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at the Forest Service station in Kernville at 13113 Sierra Way, Kernville, CA 93238 and the Senior Center in Lake Isabella at 6405 Lake Isabella Blvd

Assistance for persons with disabilities may be requested by calling the Aging & Adult Services hotline at 1-855-264-6565.
