The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a
* Flood Warning for
Mazon River from IL-113 west of Coal City downstream to confluence
with Illinois River, including the Coal City gauge.
* From Monday evening to Tuesday evening.
* At 8:45 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 2.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage Monday
evening to a crest of 13.1 feet early Tuesday morning. It will
then fall below flood stage early Tuesday afternoon.
* Impact...At 12.0 feet, Flooding of low lying areas begins near the
river.
