Flash Flood Watch - Coastal Storm to Affect the Region Late Monday through Wednesday ![](/static/Citizen-24_02_1/img/public/msg_expiration.png)
A slow moving coastal storm will affect the region from late Monday through Wednesday. Several hazards are possible.
Widespread rainfall of 2 to 3 inches, with locally higher amounts possible, expected over much of New Jersey, which could lead to flash flooding.
Severe weather, strong winds, and coastal flooding are all possible, though currently all look like fairly limited threats on their own.
Hazardous conditions expected on the waters with building seas and near gale force winds.
Uncertainty remains fairly high with this system. In particular, a small shift in storm track could lead to a considerably greater risk for strong winds and coastal flooding. The location of heaviest rainfall is also subject to some change.
